Azadeh Shily is a Toronto-based makeup artist and stylist whose work has included magazine shoots, fashion shows, television and weddings.

Her love of art started at a very young age painting on canvas. At the age of 12 she spent the summer in England. Taking a trip to the Opera theatre in London she had the chance to visit the makeup artist room, meeting the artist and being enchanted by colour and transformation. In her teens she worked in a Hair salon, Le Chebou assisting the Paris trained owner and learning the fundamentals. Being surrounded by beauty she traded in her paint brushes for makeup brushes. This was a natural transition for her.

Azadeh’s love of art, photography and all things beautiful captivated her to Havana Cuba at the age of 19, where she enrolled in an art university. Surrounded by beautiful Spanish colonial architecture it was a given she would later move to Spain to feed her love for the arts. She collaborated with fashion photographers and modeling agency, Carmen Duran styling their new faces.

Initially self taught she later enrolled in different schools, training in makeup, hair, special effects, and airbrushing.

Her celebrity clientele include Drake, Shawn Desman, Sean Cullen, Jeanie Beker, Trish Stratus and the list goes on.

Azadeh’s work has touched the pages and covers such as NUVO Magazine, Makeup Artist Magazine, French Photo, Preston Ottawa etc. She has also assisted on Flare, Fashion, Glow and has assisted makeup artist Val Garland.
